Metro Meritus Program

This program allows persons aged 60 years or older to participate for free in courses offered by the University on a non-credit basis.  Most courses are eligible for this program based on the approval of the instructor and the availability of space.  For more information on which types of courses are eligible and instructions on applying for the program, please see our Resources.

The university has instituted guidelines for mask wearing on campus.  All COVID-19 guidelines can be accessed here:  Since the pandemic is creating evolving situations, please check these guidelines periodically for updates.

The Metro Meritus program will resume for the fall 2021 semester.  This fall participants will again be able to attend courses on campus as well as online and hybrid courses.  At this time online and hybrid courses will be available through the 2021-2022 academic year only.  Continued access for Metro Meritus participants to attend online and hybrid learning will be evaluated at the end of the 2022 academic year.  Access to online and hybrid learning has been allowed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first day of class is Monday, August 23, 2021.  The last day to submit enrollment forms for fall is September 8, 2021.
