Would you like to build a new information system or write a killer app that actually changes the way people work?

As computers become more powerful and integrated into everything we do, society will need professionals who know how to apply and maintain the systems designed to make our jobs and lives easier. If you’re up to the challenge and want to be in an industry guaranteed to change constantly, a degree in Computer Information Systems will get you there.

The Department of Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics offers an education that combines general business and modern technology that will fast-track you right into the heart of a fast-paced digital world. We are one of just two CIS programs in Colorado (and the only one at a public university) recognized by both AACSB and ABET, the world’s top business and computing accrediting agencies.

Our students gain hands-on experience with all the latest technologies, applied in the context of business work. We offer advanced studies across a huge range of areas – including cybersecurity (jointly offered by the departments of Criminal Justice and Criminology, Mathematical and Computer Sciences and Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics), business analytics, systems analysis, telecommunications, data mining and application development. Couple all this learning with some of the best internship opportunities in the state, and you have an ideal platform from which to launch a successful career.

“My professors were not only great teachers – they also offered a wealth of advice that helped me achieve my professional goals. I learned a great deal about the ever?changing information systems landscape and had the opportunity to explore all possibilities.”
