This month in social media banner with coffee cup and laptop.A lot of the great conversations about Metropolitan State University of Denver happen online – which is why the Early Bird regularly highlights Roadrunner social-media buzz.

Here are some selections from our social-media pages that help show the real impact MSU Denver has on the lives of students, alumni, staff, faculty and the Denver community.

The Colorado Department of Higher Education shared our RED story about proceeds from two new Tivoli beers brewed by active and retired Roadrunner military members, supporting veterans scholarships. Don’t miss the story (or the beer)!

MSU Denver dance students and DIME Denver teamed up to give a stellar performance after a 24-hour composition project. A special shout-out goes to our extraordinary partners at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance.

The Denver Post featured student-athlete Yonatan Kefle and his journey of escaping an oppressive regime in Eritrea and finding his footing as a runner at MSU Denver. Missed the full story? See it here

We had some great mentions on our “Prepared to Teach” initiative, which extends the normal one semester of student teaching to a full-school-year classroom residency. It also provides a financial stipend so students don’t have to work while teaching. See the full article here.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser tweeted his enthusiasm about supporting Colorado’s DACA recipients as part of a rally held at MSU Denver on Nov. 12. We are grateful to have such great support for our DACA students.

Thanks for your engagement! Keep an eye out for regular social-media roundups, and let us know what you’re thinking, too.
