RSVP today for the grand reopening of the MSU Denver locker rooms
The newly renovated Auraria Event Center spaces will be unveiled in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration Tuesday.

Metropolitan State University of Denver faculty, staff and students are invited to join President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., at the grand reopening of the MSU Denver locker rooms.
The celebration will include remarks by Davidson followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments and guided tours of the improved Auraria Event Center facilities. Additionally, Roadrunners can purchase rental lockers on the spot, activate or purchase Campus Recreation memberships, and learn more about the many fitness opportunities and classes offered.

The event celebrates the completion of significant locker room renovations to improve safety, ADA accessibility and inclusivity, and to offer campus users modern amenities. The newly renovated spaces now feature auto-flush toilets, showers with dressing areas, secure storage, private changing rooms, hair dryers, and recycling and compost bins. Additionally, two new gender-inclusive locker rooms include 30 lockers, a private shower and private changing room.
The project also included new bleachers, improved lighting and the replacement of a critical rooftop air-handling unit. These efforts are part of MSU Denver’s on-going commitment to improving infrastructure and wellness opportunities for all members of the University community.
Other services and programs offered by Campus Recreation include outdoor adventures, CityScape, indoor climbing wall, a rental shop, club sports, esports, intramurals, open recreation, CPR/AED certifications, group fitness, personal training and Pacesetter race training.
